Benso Oil Palm Plantation PLC (BOPP) successfully launched its 2026 Global Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Campaign under the theme “Safe Systems by Design: People, Systems & Critical Hazards.” The campaign brought together employees, contractors, pupils, and community members to promote a stronger safety culture, health awareness, and wellbeing.
Key activities included Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) Training, Contractor Safety Management Training, EHS engagements with BOPP School pupils, Hypertension Awareness Sensitization and Health Screening, and Walk Through Talk Through (WTTT) sessions to encourage open discussions on workplace safety and improvements.

The campaign also featured Wellness Walks, Sports Games Day, departmental quiz competition and Road and Personal Safety Awareness Sensitization through local radio, extending safety education beyond the workplace and into the wider community.
The event concluded with an Awards and Recognition Ceremony, celebrating individuals and teams who demonstrated outstanding commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.
Through this campaign, BOPP reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its people, strengthening operational excellence, and ensuring that everyone returns home safely every day.

Weekly EHS Awareness
The company conducts its business in a safe and environmentally responsible manner by providing safety facilities and conditions for employees,
their dependents, and the communities in its catchment area. The company observes an annual Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) awareness to
reinforce the need for all employees, contractors, school children, dependents at home, and the catchment communities to always stay safe. Safety messages
are issued and discussed weekly among the entire workforce to educate and inform them on developments in the safety, health, and environmental arena.
Structured training programs are also organized, highlighting behavior-based safety, Fire prevention, and firefighting. Other programs include Lock-Out
and Tag-Out (for safety against electricity and moving machinery parts),
Boiler operations safety, Environmental awareness, among others, and the required compliance as well as the consequences of non-compliance.
